Sixteen Going on Seventeen

Lyrics

Take note of Liesl's part of the song especially. Rolfe is serious about her being "totally unprepared to face a world of men," and Liesl answers him, saying that she is "innocent as a rose," etc...but the bold way she sings and acts actually mocks his sexist, outmoded viewpoint. She also stands higher than him when she sings "I need someone older and wiser telling me what to do"--she is just as dominant and opinionated as Rolfe is, and Rolfe eventually can't handle that.
